Santa Rosa Boat, RV and Sport Show cover design
I designed the background to look like sand contrasting with the water colors in the photographs. The headline was done in Photoshop with a water texture.

This double truck map has been used
in the annual Santa Rosa Ski and Sport Section
since it was drawn in 1997. It was done in Adobe Illustrator.
For the first Apple Blossom Festival cover in my tenure at the Sebastopol Times and News I was given the theme of the year and allowed four colors of ink. Much to my disappointment, no one had thought to take color slides of the last year's parade. This was my solution. The following years I took my camera to the parade to make sure we had plenty color shots to choose from.

The map of El Dorado County Fairgrounds was originally a hand-drawing. It may have been nice at one time, but it had been
re-copied and re-scanned so many times that it was
hard to tell. I redid the map in Illustrator remaining
as true to scale and design as possible.
This map is of Raley's Towne Centre in Rohnert Park, CA.
